Northampton County 4-H Center
Bushkill Center Road
Nazareth, PA

Facilities:
Enclosed exhibit hall, a pole building, modern bathrooms, kitchen, show ring, announcer's stand, and ample parking on approximately five acres.

Use of Center:
The 4-H Center may be used by the general public from early April until late October. Fees are based on usage. A rental contract is required.
Contact Janice Martin, 610-837-7294, to book your event.

4-H clubs may use the 4-H Center for FREE, but all arrangements to use the site must be booked through Janice Martin, 610-837-7294. Donations are always accepted, however, to offset the costs of upkeep at the Center.

Financial Support:
It costs money to maintain this important community center for youth
development in the upper part of the county. The 4-H Center Board raises
money through rentals, chicken barbecues and donations.

Any donor or 4-H club wishing to make a donation may contact a member of the 4-H Center Board, Janice Martin, or Penn State Extension, Northampton County (610-746-1970) for more information. Donations may be specified for the working fund, the improvement fund or the scholarship fund.

Scholarships:
The Center board offers several scholarships to 4-H members each year.

  • Memorial Scholarship, founded to honor various former 4-H supporters.
Any past or present Northampton County 4-H member pursuing post-secondary education of any form, may apply.
  • James Kilgore Scholarship, established by the Kilgore family, provides funding to any Northampton County 4-H member entering college to major in dairy sciences.
  • Mabel Kilgore Scholarship, established by the Kilgore family, provides funding to any Northampton County 4-H member who is pursing an education in nursing.

Applications for these scholarships can be obtained from the 4-H coordinator at Penn State Extension, Northampton County. Applications are due in the extension office on the first Monday of October. Scholarships are awarded at the County 4-H Achievement Banquet.

Maintenance of 4-H Center
Volunteers are welcome to assist on Work Days, when regular maintenance and updating of the facility takes place. Work Days are noted in the 4-H Flyer.

Clubs wishing to do a special project such as plant flowers, clean up the grounds, wash signs, or paint are encouraged to contact the board about the project and to clear the date.

Suggestions for improvements are always welcomed.
