County Information

Northampton County is located in eastern Pennsylvania at the confluence of the Delaware and Lehigh rivers. It is 80 miles west of New York City and 60 miles north of Philadelphia. It encompasses 375 square miles and has a diverse population of almost 290,000. There are two cities, Bethlehem with a population of 72,000 and Easton with a population of 26,000. There are nearly 500 farms. Approximately 77,000 acres are under cultivation in the county. However, the county faces continuing pressures from residential development in remaining open space.

The county is home to Martin Guitar, Crayola Crayons, Just Born Candy, and Musikfest.
